For Halloween I always make chili. It is easy and something god in the tummy before all the candy. How I make it festive is the Fun part. I top the chili bowl with a piece of american cheese that I cut into a circle use a lid from your plastic containers. Then I cut 2 triangle for the eyes and a little pumpkin mouth do a bunch before and put them in the fridge when it is time to serve.
I serve the soup with bones-get Pillsbury bread sticks Knot both ends brush them with butter a little garlic salt and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese-so cute and delicious!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp. Olive
oil
1 large can
pureed Tomatoes
2 large cans diced Tomatoes
2 cans tomato
soup
3 cans chicken
broth
2 Lbs. Ground
Chicken
1 Large Onion chopped
1 Large Onion chopped
6 stalks Celery
chopped
1/3 cup Flat
leaf Parsley Coped
3 cloves Garlic
minced
½ tsp. Chili
powder
dash of Tabasco
Sauce
Salt and Pepper
to taste
Directions:
In a large
skillet brown meat.
Meanwhile in a large
soup pot add, olive oil, onion, garlic and celery and sauté until translucent.
Combine all
ingredients in Soup pot and cook for an hour.
Garnish with
shredded sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream and chopped scallions-Enjoy!
