Pour It On   Silpoura: 1 Clip-on Spout

Silpoura

1 Clip-on Spout

$9.95

The longer we played with Silpoura, the more uses we found for this handy gadget. You can drain pasta, strain grease from bacon and sautéed hamburger, drizzle melted chocolate like a pro, and pour cupcake and pancake batter without drips or splatters. And that’s just in the kitchen. In the garage or workshop, Silpoura makes it a breeze to pour paint and stains.

The inventor, James Archer, came up with the idea for Silpoura after seeing his wife, Gail, struggle to drain bacon grease into a soda can during a camping trip.
After many prototypes, he created the clip-on Silpoura spout, which comes with its own detachable strainer. It easily attaches to mixing and serving bowls, pots, pans, skillets and double boilers. You can pour and strain with precision, and Silpoura also doubles as a spoon rest. It’s a true go-to gadget that makes short work of everyday kitchen and cooking tasks.

Snug: Pack of 3 Snugs

The Snug

Pack of 3 Snugs

$14.95

Utensil Saver

The Snug is a clever little kitchen gadget that solves a universal problem experienced by everyone from the casual cook to the gourmet chef. Invented by husband and wife team Shilpi and Shrenik, the Snug prevents utensils from getting too hot to handle, or even worse, melting and burning. It also stops spoons from making a mess on your kitchen counter and from slipping into large pots, pans and serving dishes. The Snug can even be used to prop open a lid to let steam escape so the contents of your pot won’t boil over.

Thoughtfully engineered to fit utensils of multiple sizes and work on pots with or without a lip, the Snug is easy to attach, detach, and wash either by hand or in the dishwasher. Designed without nooks, crannies, or edges to inhibit food build-up and bacterial growth and made of FDA approved food grade silicone for heat resistance up to 570°F, the Snug is an innovative, elegant spoon rest you and your utensils can rely on.

Baker's 13: Cookies Baking Mat

Baker's 13

Cookies Baking Mat

$15
Founders Jon Lindholm and Brian Clemens set out to make baking easier and less costly. Their bright, whimsically designed mats are made with the highest quality, FDA approved, food-grade silicone. And unlike other silicone mats, Ultimate Baking Mats have medium and large cookie dough target circles for evenly spaced and uniformly shaped cookies that slide right off when ready. No nonstick sprays or parchment paper are necessary. As for cleanup, the mats are dishwasher safe, but also can be washed easily with a quick swipe of a soapy sponge.

Ultimate Baking Mats aren't just for cookies. Sweet or savory, if a recipe calls for a baking sheet, these no-stick mats are an ingredient for success. You can even cut them down to size to line smaller pans or toaster ovens.

Cookina: Barbecue Cooking Sheet

Cookina

Barbecue Cooking Sheet

$15.95

Nonstick grill and oven mat Frequent grillers know all about the inconveniences of backyard barbecuing. Food sticks to the grill, small pieces fall through the gaps, and marinades get lost to the flames. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Cookina is a griller’s new best friend, introduced to the U.S. by Alain Richard of the Poirier Richard company in Quebec. It’s a flexible fabric mat with a nonstick surface that can withstand heat up to 500 degrees. The reusable mat works as an alternative to aluminum foil or parchment paper. Food doesn’t stick
to it, so you can use less oil in your cooking. It keeps vegetables and flaky fish from falling through the grates of the grill, and sauces and marinades stay with your food (vegetables, meats, fish, pizza, kabobs, eggs, you name it) instead of dripping into the grill. Cookina does all this without sacrificing an important barbecue aesthetic: grill marks. It’s thin enough that you can still obtain the perfect grill marks on your foods.

The multifunction Cookina is equally impressive in the kitchen, as a baking sheet or as a liner for ovens and microwaves. After each use, cleanup is simple. Just wipe the double-sided mat clean with warm, soapy water, and it won’t hold onto any food odors.

The Grocer: Ultimate Pack Bag + Free Liner

The Grocer

Ultimate Pack Bag + Free Liner

$25.00

The Grocer is not just any grocery carrier, but a superior one with a lightweight frame and adjustable straps so you can carry it as a two-handled tote, an over-the-shoulder bag, or a backpack. The idea came from Doug Rumbough, who wanted a better alternative to disposable plastic shopping bags and their flimsy reusable substitutes. Doug has visited the Adirondack Mountains his entire life, and he was inspired by traditional Adirondack pack baskets, which are made with woven wood splints and have been used to carry hunting and fishing supplies in the mountainous region of upstate New York since the 1800s.

Doug founded ADK Packworks with Scott Hardy, and together they created The Grocer. The structured bag incorporates a metal frame that provides stability when you’re packing it, keeps items in place when you’re on the go, and folds for easy storage. It’s made of strong, ripstop nylon (machine washable), and it’s geared not just for carrying groceries but also for hauling beach supplies, packing a picnic, hiking, and toting everyday items to school or work. An optional liner provides insulation when you’ve got items you want to keep cool.
